Solo Organ Works of Sr. Theophane Hytrek OSF
Dr. Sheri Masiakowski, Curator of the Heritage Music Collection/Music Archivist for the School Sisters of St. Francis, recently completed her Doctor of Musical Arts degree (Organ performance) at the University of Wisconsin—Madison. Her dissertation focus was “The Solo Organ Works of Sr. Theophane Hytrek OSF”.
Sheri is Director of Music at Greenfield Avenue Presbyterian Church in West Allis, Director of Music for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Permanent Diaconate Formation Program, and Assistant Organist at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. She currently teaches in the Master of Music and Liturgy faculty of Alverno College.
She consistently plays at these Milwaukee sacred sites: Three Holy Women Cluster Parish, St. John Vianney Parish, and St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
Sheri is a past Dean of the Milwaukee Chapter—AGO and past Chair of ALMA-Archdiocesan Liturgical Musician’s Association (Milwaukee Chapter of the National Pastoral Musician’s Association).
