Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, St. Paul

Soprano Hannah Armstrong is a dynamic and versatile performer, as comfortable with Baroque music of Vivaldi and Handel as she is with 20th century works of Poulenc and Paulus. A contracted artist and frequent soloist with The Singers, a professional chorus based in the Twin Cities, she has been reviewed by the Minneapolis Star Tribune as “soaring prayerfully” in her solo appearance in Fauré’s Requiem. Hannah holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of Minnesota, where she earned her M.M. studying with Dr. Wendy Zaro-Mullins. She graduated from Luther College in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and Africana Studies.

Hannah is a music educator at Burroughs Community School in Minneapolis, where she teaches general music grades k-5. She is a Section Leader and soloist in The House of Hope Presbyterian Church Motet Choir in St. Paul, and enjoys training for triathlons when not teaching or performing.
